Everything Students Need to Know for Super Tuesday

Tomorrow the primary election will be held in many states across the country, including Massachusetts! Regardless of your political affiliation the primaries are a great way to indicate your preference for a presidential candidate. After every state has voted, each major party (the democrats and the republicans) holds a national convention to elect one presidential nominee. This takes place in July and August. For voters registered in Massachusetts, there are a few things to know before heading to the polls tomorrow:

1. Make sure you are registered to vote! Many students may have a voting status of inactive. This means that you can still vote, but you will need to bring an ID with you to your polling place.

2. Find your polling place! The Town of Amherst’s College Voter Page is also a good source of information.

3. Become an informed voter! Check out our infographic below to learn the basics on every candidate.
